This site was hosted by xs4all.nl (marcmarc.home.xs4all.nl) from 1996 till 1 July 2026 - now moved to marcmarc.nl

The collection of websites hosted by the Dutch internet provider XS4ALL was added to the UNESCO Memory
of the World register for the Netherlands in November 2022. See Declaration

Since KPN took over XS4ALL.NL, they started to slowly dismantle the hosting service of XS4ALL.
At 1 July 2026 they will kill the web hosting of all those early websites on XS4ALL made since 1994.

It is regrettable that such historically valuable hosting infrastructure is being discontinued,
resulting in the loss ofhundreds of thousands of historical links.

This outcome reflects poorly on the stewardship of digital heritage by KPN.

This site will continue to exist on marcmarc.nl with both the old historical pages and new to add ones.
